Delaware County Public Health Services has released the following video (links below) regarding COVID-19 vaccine distribution. Vaccination sites request vaccine weekly. Due to limited amounts of available vaccine, there is no guarantee that the request will be filled.
Limited amounts of COVID-19 vaccine are available for New York’s COVID-19 Vaccination Program. The amount of vaccine the state receives is based upon the allocation made to New York by the federal government. The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) then determines state allocations to providers and entities who have enrolled to administer vaccine. New York State Department of Health is directing vaccination sites/clinics/health care providers to adhere to the following vaccine prioritization beginning February 15, 2021:
Delaware County Public Health will continue to vaccinate 1B essential workers, additionally beginning the week of February 15, 2021 public health will be vaccinating people 65 and older with comorbidities. People over the age 65 can call Office for the Aging at 607-832-5750 to schedule an appointment at a Public Health Clinic.
Vaccine will continue to be available for people over 65 at pharmacies state mass vaccination sites.
Employers in Delaware County seeking COVID-19 vaccinations for their staff that are listed in Phase 1B can email their contact information to Delaware County Public Health at firstname.lastname@example.org
Hospitals and state mass vaccination sites are vaccinating individuals with comorbidities.
